The Corpus of Multilingual Opinion Essays
by College Students (MOECS)
The Corpus of Multilingual Opinion Essays by College Students (MOECS) is a collection of essays by college students. This is open to any researchers only for a research purpose. The corpus includes essays of English (collected in Australia including international students with English as a first language background), Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese first language (L1), and English of Japanese learners, Japanese of English learners, Japanese of Korean learners, and Japanese of Taiwanese learners.
The MOECS is useful for L1 studies, L2 studies and studies in L1 influence, written discourse studies, and more!
